ShoddyCast Episode 3: The Yawhg

Indie Games

This week we discuss a couple indie games that we’ve been enjoying, those being the Yawhg and Child of Light.

The Yawhg is a very unique interactive story-telling game that excels in conveying multiple emotions as you spend 6 weeks developing your character who knows nothing about the blight that’s about to befallen the city.

Child of Light is a delightful platform game by Ubisoft Montreal. Through it’s amazing soundtrack, storybook visuals and RPG elements, it tells a story of a little princess that must find and collect the sun and the moon in order to return to her world and save her family.

We will be taking questions between our game and TV/movie segments so be sure to send them in to

Game of Thrones

*** Spoilers ***

If you are not caught up with the most recent episode, that being Season 4 Episode 5 “First of His Name,” then stop listening until you’ve done so. There won’t be any book spoilers so need not worry.

This was a very active episode with interesting things happening in almost every setting.

Cersei shows her sweeter side as she confides in Oberyn her worry for her daughter who she’s not seen for a year. She also has an unexpected conversation with Margaery about Tommen.

Littlefinger shows us once again why he’s the most dangerous person of Westeros.

Daenerys decides she’ll be staying in Slaver’s Bay until she’s satisfied with her rule there before she moves on to King’s Landing.

Podrick, you’re awesome but DAMN you dumb!

Arya has some balls, but The Hound has a huge fist…. That may not sound right unless you saw the episode.

We’re back at Craster’s again but this time some cool stuff happens.
