Poll Results – Something for Everyone in Cyrodiil

Hello everyone and thank you for participating in this series of polls. Now that I, Kyle, am working full time for the ShoddyCast and handle the majority of the community concerns, I’ll attempt to maintain this section on a more regular(weekly as the poll suggests) basis. Also, every Monday I will be posting a Shoddience Q&A where I post select text questions from all of you with our answers in turn.

How will you enjoy Cyrodiil in ESO?

These results are better then what I had imagined.

At first it seemed ganking noobs from the shadows was the favorable activity in Cyrodiil, but I was pleasantly surprised to find that several activities were very close in the polls. This means that as you go into Cyrodiil, you’ll find plenty of other people willing to help you in your endeavors be it questing, sieging  forts, forming small hunting parties or simply gathering materials. Honestly, I’ll be tackling all of these things in Cyrodiil, some at the same time even. I doubt I’ll go gathering simply to gather, but if I see a rare herb while finishing up a quest I’m damn sure going to pick it.

I’m particularly glad to see defending keeps is high up in the ranks. This means that all the hard work that went into capturing a fort will not be wasted because no one feels like staying behind to keep the new conquered fort safe. Hopefully, things won’t become dull for those people as I remember ZOS devs mentioning that Imperial forces will attack captured forts from time to time, not just other players. This should keep defenders occupied enough to warrant staying there in defense.

I can’t wait to step foot in Cyrodiil side by side with my Shoddy brethren. I don’t think we truly realize how big our alliance will be. We have at least a few podcasts with guilds that are all Admeri Dominion, all with hundreds of players invested and all ready to kick some ass!

What’s your gaming beverage of choice?

Water? Since when were gamers healthy? You’re supposed to drink nothing by Mountain Dew Code Red, eat Doritos and nuke Hot Pockets that never seem to full cook in the center. Fair enough though as soda was trailing just a percent behind. People had asked why I didn’t put beer as a choice. I’d like to say it’s because we don’t condone drinking, but honestly, I just forgot to add it. I checked energy drink myself and as a matter of fact, I’m drinking one now.  If you haven’t tried the Monster Zero Ultra in the white and silver can, try it. No calories but isn’t overly sweet like the other ones that tastes like drinking sweet tarts. This one sorta has a grapefruit taste. Num-nums!

Anywho, have an idea for a good poll question? Leave a comment below. Thanks all and keep it Shoddy!

Normally I wouldn’t agree with picking off the little sick ones. But since I’ve been playing Skyrim a lot lately I can totally see the appeal so I might try to go a little more ruthless in ESO.

My first character on skyrim was a disaster, I just hope I can make a character I can stick with.

I think it would be great if you guys could do a poll asking people: what faction are you playing as and which console will you playing on? the 9 options would be things like; Daggerfall-PS4, Ebonheart-Xbox1, etc.

Poll Idea: Will you be more likely to find random groups for world dungeons, or only group with IRL friends linked through the new social media features?

Poll idea: are you RPing or not, personally I RP and am really interested to know how many other players are because the immersion when playing with other role players greatly increases and is hugely important to me. It’ll decide how I the game and how frequently I play too
