Hey, guys, huge fan, keep up the fantabulous work! I have a question about your guild. As I am coming to ESO as purely an Elder Scrolls fan, I have no experience whatsoever with MMOs (ESO will be my first) or guilds. I’d just like to know what the benefits of joining the ShoddyCaste will be, what will be expected of members, and are other guilds more or less similar to yours? I really appreciate it, and keep doing what you do!

-Steven Santoro

Guilds offer different things depending on what their focus is. Some focus on PvP while other focus on dungeons and raiding. Some like to role-play and other are all-in-one with members dabbling in a little bit of everything. We will be a purely social guild meaning it’s a place for our fans to hang out and chat in-game, possible quest together or do a little PvP. We don’t expect much besides common courtesy to eachother. We’ll host events from time to time which will be recorded or streamed. We’ll also be allied with other podcast guilds like that of Elder Scrolls Off the Record and GuildUMBRA. Should be a good time. Keep in mind you can have 5 guilds on your account.

I got two questions,1:do you think there will be pets that can aid you like in wow?2:do you think that there will be guild bases like in age of wushu or it will just be a title like in wow?

hey do you know if the conversation with npcs while in a group will be like in the old republic or in wow they are only talking to you?

-Emmanuel Alvarado

Guilds can claim keeps, that’s all we know. They said before that combat pets will be in but haven’t said much else.

It’s like Skyrim. Individualized with plenty of dialog options.

-Kyle

Hello Shoddy cast, I have question about ESO, I don’t know if you have covered this, but what inventory system do think ESO will use. will it be a journal system like in Oblivion, or just a sort of backpack system. Thank you and keep up the amazing work!

-Harley McDaniel

It’s your basic MMO slot-style inventory system.

-Kyle

Can you explain how exactly spellcasting will work? I understand it will be like Oblivion but does that means no dual spells or no wards?

-Caleb Davis

I haven’t heard of wards in ESO but there’s plenty of spells and skill lines to come, but mist likely we’ll see that wards are taken over by passives which in an MMO environment are better as it’s one less thing to worry about in a large engagement. Casting spells is like Oblivion and does mean only one skill/spell at a time with no cooldowns and you can choose 6 at a time to equip and can change them anytime outside of combat.

-Kyle

Hi Shoddycast! you guys do awesome work and are always super informative! Just two things the first is about the lusty Argonian maid. What do you think they will do considering they’ve confirmed it exists in ESO (set in the 2nd era) but the play is not written until the 3rd Era? and secondly have Zenimax released any information to what happens when we die? is there some form of penalty with this?
Cheers guys and keep it up!

-Sam Madden

We talked about that. we aren’t sure how lore can back that up. Probably more of an easter egg which doesn’t need to follow lore. As for dying, that’s where Soul Stones come into play. When you die, you can either resurrect at a wayshrine or you can choose to rez where you are IF you have a soul stone with you. There’s armor degradation when you use a wayshrine. Not sure what debuffs apply with soul stone usage.

hello ShoddyCast i am wondering if your Aldmeri Dominion Guild you mentioned in one of your vids will be supported for Xbox One and/or PS4. thnx a lot for the help

-David Kemp

Only PC is planned.

-Kyle

Hey Shoddycast I have a question.

Do you think there will be any option to decide the moral allignment of our character in ESO? If I have the option, I’ll always be an evil bastard. Like Ramsay Bolton haha! It would be good if they included something like that.

-Ben Corroon

Morality system will be added after launch.

-Kyle

ATM I’m torn between the Shoddy guild and my love for the Breton race. Cross faction guild is a no go too.

-Earnest Maxwell

You can still be in the Shoddy Caste even as a Breton. Cross-faction guilds are confirmed. Plus, you can join 5 guilds anyways so you can still join others on the Daggerfall side.

-Kyle

Hey guys! I have a question that been on my mind for a while now. In the original Elder Scrolls games the cities were not all that big, except maybe for the Imperial City, but it was ok if you are playing alone. Now, ESO will have a bit more people hangin round town, and the cities have to be expanded quite a bit. In your opinion, how do you think the developers will go about making more room in the cities, but still manage to make them recognizable?

-Eddie Gubin

It has to do with the aesthetic of the buildings as well as the familiar plants and people within the town.

-Kyle

EoS question, will there be a stat and sill point reset option? And a limit on them? Guessing there will be something keeping you from changing them repeatedly, gold or a quest etc.

-Kieran Loving

From what they’ve said before, you will be able to respec but there will be some kind of process more than just paying gold.
