I Won’t Be Playing Colonial Marines
Hey there, Kyle here! As you can probably tell from the picture, I LOVE the alien series. To be more precise, I love the concept artwork done by H.R. Giger found in his Necronomicon. He was basically the father of biomechanical themes and his concept artwork has been the basis of design for movies like the Alien and Species franchises. With that said, Aliens: Colonial Marines just plain sucks. Now I must admit I haven’t played it though I totally intended to. I’m glad I waited for reviews to come out and the overall reception is that it fell way way short of its potential and can even be considered false advertising. I guess we are stuck with the original AvP games before the movies came out and destroyed my dreams.

Very interesting. We are truly stumped as to why the Bosmer take the cake in this weeks poll. Maybe you guys can help us out because the only reason we can figure out is you all are wanting to make a Legolas toon or you think they are the most “elf-ish” of the elves. Whatever the reason, it was pretty surprising.
The next 3 results are not surprising as they are the leaders of the 3 alliances and therefore have the most influence in the game. I’m sure the badass alliance trailer helped. I have a feeling there will be an abundance of Nord warriors, mage High Elves and Bretons with a bow.
Dark elves take 6th place which are then followed by the beast races of Tamriel. I’ve got to say that these 3 are my favorite races. The Dunmer are amazing at Destruction magic, the Argonians are a mysterious race that are native to Tamriel and those pesky Skooma-smuggling Khajiit are just badass with their claws and guerrilla tactics.
And trailing behind are the other 2 races found in the Daggerfall Covenant: Redguards and Orsimer. I’m not sure why these are last. Maybe Redguards are just too human and haven’t really taken the spotlight since The Elder Scrolls Series: Redguard which came out in 1998. Orcs are a cool looking race but just aren’t popular. Maybe if they weren’t so mean to non-Blood-kin they would be better received.
So what’s this mean for the guild? I don’t think this will cause much balance issues as race and even class will not affect the overall outcome of the character. But this may mean Daggerfall will be filled with mostly Breton and the other alliances will be pretty well balanced by race.
Thank you all for your participation and we hope you continue to give us data to use in future shows and give me excuses to show off my tattoos 😉 -Kyle
